Kooka AI is the career coach built into Koora. It helps care workers keep credentials current, understand requirements, and plan their next step.
Care work is demanding enough without having to be your own compliance officer, careers adviser and paperwork chaser all at once. Kooka AI is built to take some of that load off. It is the career coach inside the Koora app, there to answer your questions, keep you ahead of expiry dates, and help you think about where your career is heading.
A quick note on names: Koora is the platform and your Career Passport. Kooka is the AI assistant inside it. Different names, one experience.
What Kooka helps with
Kooka is a coach, not a form. You can ask it things in plain language, and it works from what is already on your Career Passport.
- Understanding requirements. "What do I need to work in Aged Care?" or "Does my NDIS clearance count for an Aged Care job?" Kooka explains the requirements for the kind of work you are looking at, in plain English.
- Staying current. Kooka knows your credential expiry dates and nudges you before something lapses, like the CPR component that renews every 12 months, or a police certificate approaching three years.
- Planning your next step. Thinking about moving from a support role into nursing, or adding a qualification? Kooka can map out a pathway and what each step needs.
- Getting ready for a new role. Before you apply or start somewhere new, Kooka can help you check your Career Passport is complete and ready to share.
How Kooka works with your Career Passport
Kooka is most useful because it is connected to your own Career Passport. It is not a generic chatbot answering from nowhere: it works from your credentials, your expiry dates and the kind of work you do.
That means the guidance is specific to you. Instead of a general article about screening, Kooka can tell you which of your own credentials are current, which are coming up for renewal, and what a particular role would still need from you. If you work across multiple providers or sectors, that single view is especially handy.
What Kooka is not
It matters to be clear about the limits.
A coach, not a compliance authority
Kooka helps you understand and prepare. It does not make compliance decisions, and it is not a substitute for official advice. Providers keep the legal responsibility to sight your evidence and decide who can work, and you should always confirm requirements with the relevant regulator. Kooka points you in the right direction; the official sources are the final word.
Kooka also reflects your current-state record. It shows where you stand when you ask, based on what is on your Career Passport, rather than guessing or making promises about an employer's decision.
Your coach, your data
Kooka works for you, the worker. Your Career Passport is yours: you control what is on it and who you share it with. Getting started
