Pricing FAQs

Why annual billing only?

Annual billing keeps pricing simple and lines up with how most providers budget for workforce compliance. It also lets Koora run live monitoring across right-to-work, ban screening, credential expiry, and Working With Children Checks continuously, without charging a setup or onboarding fee on top. There is no monthly option on any tier.

Do workers pay anything?

No. Koora is free forever for care workers, with no trials, no tiers, and no credit card. Workers build and own their Career Passport and carry it between employers, and providers pay for access to their connected workforce. The only optional spend is Kooka AI top-ups: every worker gets a monthly allowance of Kooka AI messages for free, and workers who want to get more out of the AI career coach can buy credit packs themselves inside the app.

What happens if I change tiers?

You can upgrade at any time and the new tier takes effect immediately, so your included worker count, team seats, and monthly job post allowance move up straight away. Downgrades apply at your next annual renewal, so you keep the tier you have already paid for. If you outgrow Starter or Growth part-way through a term, contact us and we will prorate the upgrade fairly.

How does the free first worker work?

Every tier, including Flex, includes one free worker for the life of your account. It acts as a built-in trial so you can see the full Career Passport, verification signals, and ban screening before paying anything per worker. It is applied automatically at checkout, not redeemed with a coupon, and the free slot stays free even as you add paid workers around it.

Can I add more workers mid-year?

Yes. Workers beyond your included allowance, and every worker on Flex, are billed at your tier's extra-worker rate: $42 per year on Flex, $50 on Starter, and $65 on Growth. Each extra worker starts their own annual billing cycle on the day you add them, charged in full at that rate, and renews on its own anniversary. They are not prorated against your main tier term, so a worker added today is covered for a full year from today rather than just the months left on your current bill.

What about providers with 500+ workers?

Large workforces go on Enterprise, which is custom-priced and not self-serve. Enterprise covers unlimited team users, higher job post allowances, featured post upgrades, tailored onboarding, and sector coverage across aged care, NDIS, and childcare. Contact us and we will put a quote together that matches your workforce size, integration needs across HRIS, ATS, and SSO, and your rollout timeline.

What if I run multiple businesses?

Each legal entity is billed on its own Koora account so compliance records, ban screening, and workforce data stay correctly separated. If you operate a group of related providers under one parent, Enterprise can be scoped across multiple entities with a single contract and consolidated billing. Contact us and we will structure it to match your corporate setup.
