Three steps to a current register.
1. Sight
The queue lines up who your AP/NS has to sight, one worker at a time, every credential already checked by the engine. Tap to confirm; Koora dates it and records who sighted it.
2. Add
Download the upload file for anyone not yet on the register, load it into the National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA IT System), then confirm in Koora. From then on, any renewal or name change for that worker runs its own 14-day deadline.
3. Keep current
A renewed or lapsed credential, or a legal name change, starts a fresh 14-day deadline and Register Upload shows what's due. You make the change in the NQA IT System and mark it done in Koora. End a worker's access and their departure joins the queue. One weekly email lists who needs action, only when someone does.

Common questions
about the worker register
What is the National Early Childhood Worker Register?
A federal requirement, in effect since 27 February 2026: every educator and AP/NS working in early childhood education and care is confirmed on ACECQA's National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA ITS). The upload destination is national; each state regulator sets its own exemptions and timelines.
What are the deadlines?
The initial workforce upload was due 27 March 2026, and the national Foundations of Child Safety training is due by 27 August 2026. New workers go on the register within 14 days of starting; changes within 14 days of you becoming aware. Koora shows you, per worker, who's outstanding before each deadline.
Who goes on the register?
The role someone performs at the service decides it, including staff with no direct contact with children and anyone engaged through labour hire.
State regulators set exemptions on top of the national rules. For edge cases, check ACECQA's operational policy guide.
Does Koora do the sighting for me?
No. The sighting and the legal duty stay with your AP/NS (Authorised Person or Nominated Supervisor). Koora pre-clears each credential first: the WWCC is verified against the state register, and the engine checks everything else against the role's requirements. Review beyond the engine is your team's, or Crew's, our paid review add-on.
Does Koora upload directly to the NQA IT System?
Not yet. Koora generates the bulk upload file and you load it into the NQA IT System. If ACECQA opens a direct integration, we'll work with them so exports go straight there.
